Derek Fisher “disappointed” by New York Knicks axe
NY is five games behind the Detroit Pistons for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Already, there are rumors of big trades being made followed by free agent signings this summer, but more needs to be done.

The Lakers are not doing well.
Head Coach Derek Fisher of the New York Knicks meets Carmelo Anthony at the sideline during the New York Knicks’ game against the Golden State Warriors at the Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports that there is a “strong belief” that Jackson will “eventually find his way” back with the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s in a diminished position, like Los Angeles Lakers forward Kobe Bryant, who has been relegated to a jump shooter lacking the burst needed for separation.
That’s where it landed upon assistant coach Luke Walton, who after compiling a 39-4 record as interim head coach this season reportedly is on the list of potential replacements in NY. Phil Jackson is most likely going to stick with Kurt Rambis. “They’ve got to get connected at both ends so they’re stopping the ball defensively and moving and executing much better on the offensive end”. Shaw is the former head coach of the Denver Nuggets, where he was sacked in the middle of last season. The Knicks dropped 27 of their first 32 games before Jackson chose to trade Iman Shumpert and J.R. Smith to the Cleveland Cavaliers in January 2015. The Knicks have only won 50 games once since the ’99-’00 season and they are in desperate need of some motivation, something Jackson is very capable of.
The top coaching candidate on the market is former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, but he doesn’t run the triangle. He is also the past president of the NBA players association, serving from 2006 to 2013.
So far, that hasn’t happened, but it’s still early in his tenure there. NY drafted rookie sensation, Kristof Porzingis, but needs one more key piece to get back to playoff forum.
