Christian McCaffrey is the new NCAA single-season all-purpose yards record holder. The guys are in town for the College Football Awards which will be held Thursday at the College Football Hall of Fame. Caught 41 passes for 540 yards (13.2 average) and four touchdowns….
McCaffery did have more 100-yard games than Henry, notching 10, and strung together more with nine straight during the final stretch of the season.
Watson is the only player in the country who has surpassed 800 yards rushing (887) and 3,500 yards passing (3,512), and he has accounted for 41 touchdowns.

This year’s Heisman Trophy ceremony will be on Saturday December 12th at 8pm eastern. Finalist for the Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year and Maxwell Award, which goes to top player in the nation, and the Doak Walker Award, which goes to the best running back. Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey? Or Clemso’s Deshaun Watson? McCaffery would have been Stanford’s second Heisman victor and first since quarterback Jim Plunkett since 1970, but the sophomore figures to be one of next year’s biggest threats. When you break a record set by Barry Sanders (who’s son is McCaffrey’s back-up) you deserve the lofty recognition the Heisman trophy brings. Regardless, this shouldn’t hamper how the Heisman voters look at his candidacy. He should win the Far West by a landslide, and could do well in the North East, Mid West and Mid Atlantic, too, with a lot of SEC haters and non-believers in Clemson seemingly out there.
