“Panda” rapper Desiigner was reportedly released from jail Saturday after being arraigned on a couple of misdemeanors – none of which was a gun charge – stemming from a Thursday road-rage incident in Manhattan.

But, after charges were lessened against Desiigner, he has been allowed to go free without bail until his next court appearance.
Real name Sidney Shelby III, Desiigner had been charged after he was a passenger in a Cadillac Esplanade which had an altercation with another motorist in NY. In other words, Desiigner’s only crime – being a successful Black man, the team alleged. On searching the auto, police found controlled substances, believed to be prescription pills. Additionally, the strike for felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell was also dropped.

However, after a search of the Esplanade, no such weapon was found. His legal team goes on to explain it is equally indignant over the drug charges, saying: “all of the pills found in the auto were legal prescriptions written by a doctor for the SUV driver and that Desiigner didn’t even know there were schedule 2 drugs in the vehicle”.
