Desperate Piers Morgan asks Barcelona ace to sign for Arsenal, Pique responds

But Morgan had to get on Twitter and say: 1,200,000,000 people and not a single Gold medal at the Olympics?

His tweet read, “What is even more embarrassing are your snivelling interviews as if you had a diaper in your mouth. Sad”. However, the tweet didn’t go down well with the Twitterati from India.

His comment angered many Indians as they began to troll the British journalist. However, it seems Morgan was well prepared for the troll attack in advance and responded cheekily, sometimes trolling the trolls as well. Noted among them were controversial Indian writer, Chetan Bhagat and socialite Suhel Seth.

Last season, Wayne Rooney sent a simple tweet to Morgan saying “hi” after Manchester United defeated Arsenal 3-2 in the Premier League.

Pat came the reply from the 51-year-old British journalist, “At least you’ll never have to worry about being one of my interviewees, Suhel. Sad.” However, Morgan took him head on, saying he interviews only famous people so Suhel won’t have to be anxious about getting interviewed by him.

India won just two medals at the Rio Olympics 2016. He was intent on turning the joke on the England cricket team asking Morgan how embarrassing it was to see his country’s national team fail to win the ODI World Cup despite being the ones who invented the Gentleman’s game.

However, some users supported the views of Morgan.

The TV host made fun of India and Indians for not producing gold medallists.
