‘Destiny 2’ is coming next year
Even less is known about the sequel – at this stage, it’s simply a “full game sequel” that’s due out in 2017.

But to hold players over until 2017, a “large new expansion” is expected in 2016, though whether it is as major a shift as 2015’s Destiny: The Taken King was or something more akin to the game’s previous, smaller updates, was not detailed. The question now is when will we see any news of the big release?
Following rumors that the official sequel to Destiny would not arrive in time for its previously announced September 2016 window, Activision made the news formal as part of its Q4 fiscal report on Thursday.
While that might not be the best news, at least new content is still coming to year one.
News regarding the long-term future of Destiny has been somewhat thin on the ground of late, but today we did get a little bit of information from Activision about their plans for Bungie’s shooter in the months and years ahead. In a blog post published to coincide with Activision’s announcement, Bungie explained that the Spring update will include “a significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability”.

Activision also said that this year would bring a new Call of Duty and Skylanders games from original developers Infinity Ward and Toys For Bob, but no more Guitar Hero games.
