Destiny Festival Of The Lost Event Celebrates Halloween
Destiny players logged into the game this week to a spooktacular surprise: The inaugural Festival of the Lost.

Gamespot noted that the event offers players the chance to participate in different tasks. Otherwise, you can wear them through November 9 and then, just like a ghost, they disappear.
Eris, on the other hand, isn’t a big Halloween person.
Don your best Festival of the Lost outfit, find a suitable backdrop, and take a screenshot or video.
Those masks play into quests, including one that sees costumed players visiting NPCs in the Tower to receive candy. Talking to her will trigger the first part of this quest called “Happy Festival of the Lost”, which is basically an introduction to the festival. These items include Bags (Gifts of the Lost), Rare Masks, Candy (Festival-specific consumables), Paper Scraps, and Glue, while Festival of the Lost Emotes and Treasures of the Lost will no longer be available for purchase at the Eververse Trading Co.
The development team says that it will use the revenue derived from it to fund a live events team that is supposed to deliver new quests and missions for free, with a solid content pack scheduled to arrive about every two months.
The Zombie Dance emote is unavailable to purchase on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Bungie even added a special Crucible map to the rotation just for this occasion, which is cool, but really makes me wonder what the studio will do for the holidays. That map will stick around once the festival is over. As a side note, a few of the events content will not be available if you have not upgraded to the Taken King version of Destiny but, no matter which version of the game youre playing, theres going to be a few new activities for you to take part in.
