Destiny’s New Update Bumps The Light Cap To 335

Bungie might be focused on the April content drop, but Activision has already revealed that it is aiming to get a classic expansion pack for the social shooter launched before the end of the year, although it is unclear what it might contain.

The new Prison of Elders challenges will require Guardians to duke it out with Taken in a level 41 challenge.

Update: Bungie’s Lead Designer Ryan Paradis and Senior Designer Tim Williams will stream new PvE features on Bungie’s Twitch channel at 2:00 pm Eastern in the first of three “April Update” live streams. This is the latest news about the Destiny update set for April, the new DLC to arrive later this year, and the release date for Destiny 2.

It may have been a long time coming, but Destiny players can now look forward to new content coming in April. Lastly, the new update will also affect the Winter’s Run Strike, especially to the endgame levels as they will include Taken enemies.

The April Update will be free for players who have purchased “Destiny: The Taken King”. In addition to the level cap raise, Bungie promised new bounties, quest lines, a new mission and new strike. But, if it is new content that Bungie wants, I don’t mind that either. Players will be able to take on new bosses in the survival mode, including a new variation on the Prison that has players attempting to earn a high score.

The studio explained more on the new Strike coming to the game next month, players will be facing off against new boss, Malak. All told, Bungie has 16 weeks of challenges planned for the Prison of Elders.

If you are Bungie, then you have a video game franchise known as Destiny which has millions of players.
