Hell yes. To access the Destiny secret mission, launch “Lost to Light” and run through it as quickly as you can without your team wiping.

Since this is a daily mission, Destiny players won’t have long to complete the extra quest – although presumably it will reactivate when “Lost to Light” comes round on the schedule again.
The Taken King has added a bevy of features to Destiny, but one that no one saw coming was a secret mission, not highlighted or mentioned anywhere outside of Lost to Light, which is itself another mission. Once you’ve stolen the soul, it’s time to escape the Taken, and make your way out of the Hellmouth. Instead of opening the doors, however, simply run towards where you board the ketch in the strike, The Shadow Thief. Some people stumbled upon it and it has surprised many fans because not only is this secret mission really hard but it also awards upon successful completion an exotic Black Hamme-type sniper called the Black Spindle. In addition to looking awesome, it refills ammo with precision shots much like the Black Hammer weapon from the year one version of the game.
As you’ll see in the video below, acquiring the Black Spindle is no walk in the park.

“You have ten minutes to clear the ketch of Taken enemies and kill the Ultra Taken captain “Driviks”. We’ll find out after the daily Destiny reset Thursday morning if it is still obtainable.
