Bungie and Activision confirmed today that Destiny: The Collection releases on September 20 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and features “the entire Destiny saga”.

If you pre-order The Collection digitally, you get instant access to all previously released content while you wait for Rise of Iron’s release. Rise of Iron is the upcoming DLC for Destiny and that’s included as well. It’ll include the core Destiny game, plus the expansions The Dark Below, House of Wolves, The Taken King and the new Rise of Iron content as well. We recently reported that with the upcoming Destiny: Rise of Iron expansion, Bungie will allow players to gain full control over their faction rewards. They will also get a character boost. With that in mind, they’ve decided to make it easy to get the entire Destiny experience in one collection, with the upcoming Destiny – The Collection package.

While you serve the Vanguard in the Plaguelands, I wonder if you’d be so kind as to help me understand the more brutal aspects of the Devil Splicers’ brand of worship.

This also comes with a bit of extra incentive for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players to upgrade to current consoles. However, this offer is only valid until January 2017 to those who own a digital version of Destiny: The Taken King in the same console family.

That’s not a spectacular deal, since those customers have already paid for The Taken King and will now have to spend $10 more than PS4 or Xbox One owners to play Rise of Iron.
