Bungie has also hinted the arrival of the Update 2.0 over at the latest Bungie blog update. In addition, Bungie is addressing some more wants/needs they’ve heard from players over Destiny Year One, in Nightfalls, “the death penalty of being kicked to orbit often leads to players feeling forced to play too safe, rather than running through the world as a monster killing machine”.
What is true, however, is a third expansion, “The Taken King”, that is due for release on September 15.
Activision Blizzard Inc.’s (NASDAQ:ATVI) Destiny‘s developer, Bungie has recently announced that they are making major changes to the weekly nightfall missions every Destiny player is familiar with.
Rounding out The Taken King’s offering of new content are three new subclasses.
Grimoire Cards are an aspect of the game that has been present from the start and help to unlock some of the much needed lore that helps to pad out the Destiny storyline.
The development team says that gamers should make their consoles ready for the deployment of the patches, mostly by making sure that they have the free space necessary for the download. The Taken King being as big as it is nearly comes as no surprise.
Game Rant, however, emphasized that nothing is confirmed yet, but explained that Bungie might still release more information on the widely renowned first person shooter (fps) game. Otherwise you’ll have to contend with slow speeds, capped bandwidth margins or overage charges.
The Taken King bumps Destiny’s total space requirements up to 30 GB on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, which is more room than some models of both consoles offer. For games like Grand Theft Auto V it’s easy to burn up 60GB alone on that game. When vanilla Destiny first launched, it did so without the Vault of Glass raid, and the hard mode version of Crota’s End did not debut until a month after Dark Below’s release date.

Meanwhile, “Destiny: The Taken King” update does not indicate what happens to the odd coins that drops from Weekly Heroic Strikes. If you have that free then you should be able to run the expansion without any problems.
