But the $5 billion Shanghai Disney Resort six themed lands will incorporate cultural concepts tailored for Chinese visitors.
In its announcement Wednesday, Disney said the new resort had more technology and original features than previous parks, including many Chinese features blended into mosaics, gift items, performances and even the huge castle.
“Our goal was to create something that was authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese, and we believe we’ve achieved the ideal blend”, said Iger during the presentation at Shanghai Expo Center.
China Mickey Mouse, Peter Pan and Han Solo would gesture customers on Shanghai once Walt Disney Co brings its first place in China among the bounce of the following year. So I thought back to all my griping and whining over the course of the last few years, and while I already knew this (I had somehow locked the thought up in my own personal Disney Vault)… duh…Disney has basically deployed every resource it has in Parks and Resorts to Shanghai to get this thing done not just right…but flawless.

As guests explore this pirate world, they will enter Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle of Sunken Treasure, an attraction that transforms a boat ride into a thrilling journey with cutting-edge innovations in robotics, animation, set design and multimedia.
New attractions including ones based on Marvel comics and Star Wars, and others inspired by Chinese culture will distinguish the Shanghai resort from its peers in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Attractions in these lands will include rides and shows based on the classic Disney characters, along with Winnie the Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Toy Story, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel and Star Wars.

Shanghai Disney Resort is a joint venture between the Walt Disney Company and Shanghai Shendi Group. Disney operates parks in Anaheim, Orlando, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
