EW has confirmed that Sarah Steele, who played Marissa Gold in the CBS drama, will join Christine Baranski (Diane Lockhart) and Cush Jumbo (Lucca Quinn) in the CBS All Access version that’s set to debut in February.

The storyline concerns an enormous financial scam, it writes, that has both demolished both the reputation of a younger lawyer and Lockhart’s savings.

Steele will reprise her role as Ari Gold’s smart and outspoken daughter Marissa Gold. Her character is described as “a brilliant but scattered millennial who begins as Diane Lockhart’s secretary, but finds she has a knack for investigating”. Per Deadline, the upcoming digital-only offshoot of the series will see Marissa following the footsteps of Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) and Robyn Burdine (Jess Weixler), the original series’ tough yet sassy female investigators.

The Good Wife co-creators Robert and Michelle King created the spin-off and recently signed on to serve as showrunners, following their stint running the CBS summer series BrainDead.

‘She’s a magnificent comedian with the dramatic skill to keep every scene real, ‘ the Kings told the outlet.

Steele had recurred since season two of the flagship series as Eli Gold's daughter Marissa
