“The fact that Resiles remains at-large today, tells me there are more people aiding and abetting him and his escape”, he said.
Frank Celone, a witness to the chaotic scene, said: “Right before he got there he pulled the buttons on his uniform”.
Israel said that the search for Resiles continues, mostly focused on South Florida, although a nationwide alert has been issued.
“I’ve directed our criminal investigations division to charge anyone, when it becomes applicable, that they aided and abetted this fleeing murder suspect”.
“We were in Judge Singhal’s courtroom, he was calling the docket, and one of the inmates bolted out of the jury space where the inmates who are in custody wait”, attorney Jim Lewis said in an account of the escape to CBS Miami.
His lawyer said he was shocked by the latest turn of events. “Our folks are working around the clock”.
Resiles, who has an arrest record dating back to when he was 12, is charged with the 2014 murder of Jill Halliburton Su in the master bathroom of her Davie home, located in a gated community.
Israel detailed the roles that the suspects played in Resiles’ getaway. “If you think you know where he is, if you think you know where he might be, if you think you know where he might be going, call us up”.
Israel said deputies brought Resiles to the hearing wearing the proper handcuffs and shackles.
As of late Friday afternoon, Resiles remained at large.

Investigators used surveillance video, jail calls and visitation logs to lead them to Stern and Russell. Two other are facing similar charges, officials said.
“Everything is on the table and since everything is on the table, we will look at every aspect”, he said. “He escaped through the north end of the courthouse”.
