We talked with Levi Damien of Silver and Black Pride about the Raiders’ 2015 season.

“I’m getting better”, Hudson said. After Detroit received the punt following the safety, all the steam seemed to be drained out of the Raiders defense.

Time to sound off, Raider Nation!

Carr could not pin down the Cooper catch shortage, either. Carr and Cooper have been on fire this season!!

The Raiders are 4-5 on the year and 5-4 against the spread, which includes a record of 3-1 ATS on the road. Their only touchdown came after an interception by Carr was negated by a defensive holding penalty.

Adjusting to better coverage, the Xs and Os, and the speed of the game is what rookies are supposed to have problems with. The Lions have won the last three matchups while the Raiders won the previous four, including three when they were still the Los Angeles Raiders. “Great hands, great concentration, great competitor”. What do you expect to see?

“For him to come out of a game with one catch, we’ve got to do a better job there”, Del Rio acknowledged. But despite those improved performances from their two most important offensive players, the Lions haven’t cracked 20 points in any of their last three contests. Time for the Oakland Raider defense to re-establish themselves as a force!

The Lions may not have a winning record, but that doesn’t mean that they’re not unsafe. This weekend the Raiders, and their defense will be facing a team, and an offense with momentum.

But the Raiders turned it on in the third quarter against the Detroit Lions to take the lead. You know it started out really well didnt put the ball in the end zone which was frustrating and then we were stagnant for a little bit. Johnson is listed as questionable with an ankle injury.

The Raiders cannot allow the Lions to find balance on offense!!

We spoke with Levi Damien of Silver and Black Pride to discuss the Oakland Raiders’ surprisingly successful season and how they match up against the Detroit Lions this week. They even blew out the NY Jets, who are alive and well in the playoff hunt. With the team giving up an average of over 150 yards per game!! Sunday they’ll be dealing with a lion – that they should be able to tame. Unlike the Minnesota Vikings, the Detroit Lions, don’t have an unstoppable machine in their backfield.

The loss, Atlanta’s third in a row, was costly as running back Devonta Freeman left early in the first quarter with a concussion. The Raiders took him to be an immediate impact and up to Sunday he was just that.

It’s only going to get tougher tonight as they face Calvin Johnson.

In addition, Matthew Stafford was sacked four time, as Ben Heeney, Malcolm Smith, Benson Mayowa and Denico Autry were all able to get to Stafford this afternoon.

“I wish I could go back and have that play back, but I can’t”, he said.

Given the chaos of the first half of the season, though, back-to-back wins over the Green Bay Packers and Oakland Raiders are feeling very good.

The total has gone OVER in 4 of Detroit’s last 5 games.

“It’s important (to run the ball), especially for the offensive line”, Stafford said.

The offense felt confident, having scored on three straight possessions. But its remaining two drives in the game might have been the worst football the Raiders have played all year. What the Detroit victory signals to me is the fact that the Lions have every intention on playing with pride.

The catch a break of sorts given that Detroit’s running offense is absolutely anemic – averaging just under 67 yards a game which puts them dead last in the league.
