Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson has made touchdown catches a Thanksgiving
The Lions have won three straight after a 1-7 start, and this was also their third victory in a row in their annual Thanksgiving game. Matt Prater added a 48-yard field goal as the Lions took a 24-7 lead into halftime. “Probably as complete a victory as we’ve had around here”, Lions coach Jim Caldwell said.

But even in the wake of the latest embarrassment, a Thanksgiving Day blowout courtesy of the Lions, Kelly has no plans on bolting.
The Eagles won the NFC East title in Kelly’s first year, but, at 4-7, they’re looking as if they’ll miss the playoffs for the second straight season under him.
“I would never doubt Chip Kelly, I would never doubt his coaches”, said Kelce, who played through a swollen knee. “But that’s not ever going to change my approach, my trust in the players in this locker room and the coaches”.
“I thought this was going to be a statement game for us”, Johnson said, and it was, just not the kind of statement they had in mind.
Philadelphia lost 45-14 at Detroit on Thursday after losing 45-17 to Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Stafford finished 27 of 38 for 337 yards.
“Our quarterback is comfortable in this offense”, Caldwell said. The same thing happened this season. Calvin Johnson also tied a personal best by catching three of those touchdown passes.
Davis lost starting cornerback Nolan Carroll to a broken ankle early. “Jim Bob (Cooter) dialed up some plays for him and he got open, made some big-time catches”. Carroll, who was placed on injured reserve according to Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia, is second on the team with 57 tackles and leads team with 10 pass defensed.
Admit it. As much as you’ve tried to forget it, his boring, unimaginative play calling still haunts your Honolulu blue and silver dreams.
“I mean, Adam Schefter, he’s definitely a good source of information”, Peters said Thursday. Are the prospects of Lynch, Goff, Hackenburg and the like really the type of players you make that risk for?
For the season, Johnson has 67 catches for 911 yards and six touchdowns.
“Don’t, we don’t. We don’t talk about anything behind the next game, just like we always do”.
With 7:53 left in the first half, Stafford completed a pass to Golden Tate on the far right side of the field for a two-yard score. “We’re going to find out who the guys are who throw people under the bus”. For some reason, Kelly seemed to abandon that dual-threat narrative once he joined the Eagles; Nick Foles and Sam Bradford are not capable of running like any of the quarterbacks Kelly had at Oregon.
The Eagles tied the game on the ensuing possession when Sanchez capped an 80-yard drive with a 2-yard pass to Brent Celek early in the second quarter.
Sanchez is yet to actually take a read-option this season but the problem is every single time the play occurs, the running back is wrapped up.
Detroit’s Ezekiel Ansah had a career-high four sacks, one of which forced a fumble by Sanchez.
“That guy’s got a serious grip – rigor mortis or something”, Sanchez said.

Left tackle Jason Peters couldn’t make it through the first series before suffering an injury, this one to his ankle.
