Detroit Pastor Interviews Donald Trump Saturday and Will Ask

Trump will also record an interview with Detroit Bishop Wayne T. Jackson to be broadcast on local television. “And his Saturday interview with Jackson on the church’s Impact Network – which will not be open to the public or the news media – won’t air for at least a week after the event”.

Jackson said that he has made a “formal request” for an appearance by Clinton to her campaign but “we haven’t received a response”.

Clinton is accused by Trump of doing political favors for some of the people who donated money to her family’s foundation when she was in office from 2009 to 2013.

“His candidacy has stirred up a lot of emotions with people saying he’s a racist and people saying, “I don’t want to hear him” and ‘How could you bring him here, ‘” Jackson said.

“I am going to protest him even coming here, him even asking for black African-American voters, Latino votes, or anyone else for that matter”, Rideout said in the interview.

Saturday’s appearance, trumpeted by the campaign as an opportunity for the candidate to “answer questions that are relevant to the African-American community” and get a glimpse of the “heart and compassion Mr. Trump has for all Americans”, was meant to silence those criticisms. But before Trump mingles with worshipers at Great Faith Ministries on Saturday, he will be welcomed by a protest organized by a black pastor critical of the presidential candidate. “This is an opportunity for a dialogue”.

Jackson said his first question to Trump will be about whether he is Christian.

Jackson, who identified himself as a Democrat and said he is undecided on how he’ll vote in November, said that he believes it is “important that Mr. Trump be able to speak to our community and be able to lay out his plan for our community”.

Trump’s message “has not connected”.

“What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump? he asked”.

Trump’s visit will mark his third to MI in a little more than a month.
