“One of his highlight goals from last season came in a December 27 game at Ottawa, when he dangled the puck throughout Ottawa”™s zone before delivering an overtime goal.

It’s not confirmed how much he’ll be getting paid under this contract or what the cap hit will be.

That Nyquist is super skilled offensively is evidenced by two straight seasons of almost reaching 30 goals for the Detroit Red Wings.

The Nyquist deal was an absolute steal for the Red Wings.

The Red Wings will have a key part of their future locked up for the forseeable future. He will return to his role as a top six forward with Detroit in 2015-16, and has a chance to post career highs in goals and assists.

The Detroit Red Wings have secured the services of one of their most dynamic scorers.

The Wings also are working on contracts for restricted free agents Teemu Pulkkinen and Tomas Jurco.

Prior to turning pro, Tangradi spent three seasons with the OHL’s Belleville Bulls from 2006-09, amassing 168 points (67-101-168), 134 PIM and a plus-61 rating in 176 games.

The speedy winger has made the most of his National Hockey League time, however, with 115 total points so far. The Red Wings officially announced the signing Wednesday via the team’s official website. Nyquist was a two-time AHL All-Star, a 2012 AHL All-Rookie Team member and a 2013 AHL First-Team All-Star.
