Supporting all AMD Radeon graphics cards, starting with the Radeon HD 7700/HD 7900 series and available for Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 OS, in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, the new Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.9.1 brings all the optimizations for the recently released DirectX 12 patch for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided game.

Will you play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in 4K on the PS4 Pro?

After the game has downloaded the DirectX 12 supported build you can then toggle DirectX 12 from either the launcher window or from the Display options within the game.

WARNING: Using the DirectX 12 API can offer better performance on some systems, however, it will not be beneficial on all. We should see more patches in the near future as the game developers and the two GPU providers work on improving compatibility. The patch is accompanied by release notes that explain the fact that it is possible some very high-end graphics cards perform worse with DirectX 12 that they used to perform with the previous version of DirectX.

AMD did release a driver update today to specifically support this Deus Ex update but at the time of writing, Nvidia has not released an update but that could change by the time you read this so check anyway. To try out the DX12 preview, load up Steam, right-click the game in your library, select “Properties”, and click over to the Betas tab.
