Developer Okay With Gamers Not Liking No Man’s Sky
Data-mined files and an interview with Hello Games head, Sean Murray, have revealed evidence that No Man’s Sky might be coming to Xbox One after all.

Kotaku previously reported that some of the notable issues for “No Man’s Sky” PC include hitching, the lack of functionality for the FOV sliders and the inability to switch from the game to another application in the PC.
At time of publication, No Man’s Sky had a Steam user rating of “mixed”, with almost 42% of user reviews falling into the “negative” category. The new patch addresses the jittery frame rate, fixes the inability to effectively alt-tab back into the game, and turns Gsync off by default. That doesn’t sound like a bad thing at all, but it is when you consider that if you redeem the ship with a hyperdrive you’ll automatically skip through the tutorial phase, which teaches you how to build a hyperdrive. There’s a very weird but good reason as to why you shouldn’t claim the ship.
No Mans Sky is already massive, with 18 quintillion planets which will already take a lifetime to explore and visit.
It’s hard to assess the percentage of PC players having problems but the Steam review page and dedicated Reddit thread tell a frustrating story. Normally, you will have to either complete a quest or gift an alien with a certain mineral to be rewarded with an upgrade. The ship has a pre-installed hyperdrive and while they do not have to find a hyperdrive blueprint, those with pre-installed hyperdrive can not find new ships to buy. Gamers keep sharing their interesting/unusual discoveries from different planets, and we’ve already seen some quite interesting creatures posted on forums. You’ll notice that once you arrive at a new planet, you’ll be performing the exact same tasks that you were performing in the planet you were previously on.
Hello Games explained that some players failed to redeem the bonus correctly from the PS Store, or if they did, the item names displayed in the game were incorrect.
Hello Games has created a game so unique, that you will rarely share the same experience as other gamers. The best part is that all the problems mentioned can be fixed. Just because it didn’t live up to the hype, it doesn’t mean that it’s a bad game.
“Like many thousands of other customers who bought this game, it immediately crashes at the opening splash screen”. So, do update prior playing the game.
