Devil May Cry sequel leaks via voice actor resume

While not confirmed, it appears that Capcom is now developing Devil May Cry 5.

This piece of information comes from the online resume of Nils Hognestad, who has had a reoccurring role in ABC’s Once Upon A Time. The duo was last seen together in Devil May Cry 4, and this sparked major rumors that the next iteration in the series could be secretly in development. The fact the game’s name was removed as quickly as it was spotted indicates something is afoot, though.

Expect to hear more at E3. And if Hognestad’s resume is to be believed, it can offer some potential clues as to what form the supposed Devil May Cry 5 will take. Capcom, with the help of Ninja Theory, made a decision to reboot the franchise a few years back.

First and foremost, the title “Devil May Cry 5” is very telling in and of itself. Of course, they might not be ready to show the game off, so it not showing up at E3 wouldn’t be a big deal. There’s no telling how far along in development the alleged Devil May Cry 5 actually is, but considering the sales success of the franchise, it’s probable that Capcom is at least considering a sequel of some sort.

This either means a new protagonist will be introduced, or a major change for Dante will take place.
