Dez: Big contract ‘not going to change the way I play’
A troubled childhood in Lufkin, Texas, was followed by losing his eligibility at Oklahoma State, and there were several problems during his first few years with the Cowboys, including a family assault charge after an incident with his mother that was later dismissed.

“I’m glad that it got done, ” said Bryant, last season’s NFL leader with 16 touchdown catches. And when I see stuff like that, I have to watch myself. “I feel like I handled it the right way”.
“It would’ve killed me, but I stood by it. I had to”. I really don’t. You always want to be better the next year but…it’s not based off of the numbers.
The Cowboys have made numerous references to Bryant’s maturity in recent years.
After the enthusiastic greeting with Garrett, Bryant shared some smiles with owner Jerry Jones and his wife, Gene. And then the capper Thursday back on the field with his teammates, although he had a hard time staying away from offseason activities during the contract stalemate. “You’ll probably see him practice a lot, you’ll probably see him have some off days. I have real responsibilities now”.
“It’s all about the work I put in”, Bryant said.

Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant insists that he isn’t feeling the pressure of his new big-money contract. I don’t give a damn about none of that. “They gave me a boost of confidence. I kind of figured they’d get something done”. “He comes out here and the first thing he wants to do is throw the ball around”. I just know that it will never happen again. I’m going to stick what I do, what I say, how I say, and whatever I say. “That will never happen again”.
