We’ve seen Bryant in training camp altercations before, and it looks like 2015’s first comes with Tyler Patmon defending him.

Such was the case on Sunday when Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl receiver Dez Bryant took a swing at team-mate Tyler Patmon.

The two were able to get past their differences by the end of practice. Other teammates, including quarterback Tony Romo, separated them.

After practice Garrett spoke with Bryant.

“I got a little bit overheated”, Bryant said. “But at the end of the day, that’s something you really need for a team to try to win ballgames”. Players and coaches quickly stepped in to prevent the spat from escalating.

Both players went to Oklahoma State.

Patmon added: “Oh, man, it’s just brothers”. “Brothers fight. It’s just what happens sometimes. We go at it. After that we squash it and it’s over”.

Dez Bryant’s new contract hasn’t lessened his intensity. He wasn’t going to back down, I wasn’t going to back down….

Bryant explained to reporters after Sunday’s practice, “It’s two great competitors going at it. We were chirping a little bit back and forth”.

“You don’t want somebody weak on your team”. “He’s fighting his way and he’s fighting for respect”.
