In addition to having his legal fees paid, West is asking for a $500,000 contribution to the United Negro College Fund by Bryant and the receiver’s counsel, as well as calling for Bryant’s countersuit to be withdrawn. West sued Bryant in June for $60 thousand in damages to his Desoto rental property.

Bryant countersued in July, accusing West of using the athlete’s celebrity status to attract endorsement deals to “line his own pockets”.

As far as the $300,000 goes, West’s request for sanctions includes an itemized ledger of how Bryant’s money was used to, primarily, settle a suit for the non-payment of a $246,000 tab against Bryant by a NY jeweler in 2011. The WFAA news in Dallas captured the contentious exchange on camera, and it’s shocking the situation didn’t spiral into a brawl.

“I wish you had personally come to me to discuss the damages done to the house”, West responded.

“Naw it’s to late for that”. I no longer have sympathy for y’all people. “Just know you started this”.

After Bryant refused to pay for the repairs, according to Crawford, West had no choice but to sue for the cash.

Foot and ankle injuries plagued Bryant previous year, but he says he’s great after surgery. “Many of these payments stopped at Wells and/or West, but never reached Bryant”. Bryant eventually paid $475,000 with West keeping $25,000 for his services. West also has served as Bryant’s attorney in the past.
