Kuwait didn’t cut diplomatic ties entirely, as other Saudi allies have done.

In retaliation, Iran’s government has banned all imports of products made in Saudi Arabia.
The Iranian government has distanced itself from the attack on the Saudi embassy and even suggested foreign elements organized it.
He adds that, “undoubtedly, such actions can’t cover up that big crime”.
It seems the rupture of diplomatic relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia is not limited simply to these two countries; it is expanding into a diplomatic crisis between Iran and the wider Arab world.
RUSSIA – State news agency RIA Novosti quoted an unnamed senior diplomat as saying Moscow is ready to act as a mediator between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
“The diplomatic crisis follows the Saudi execution of a top Shia cleric last week that was internationally condemned”. The protesters were enraged over the Sunni kingdom’s execution of prominent Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr over the weekend. Iranians, however, would still be able to visit the kingdom for pilgrimages to Mecca.
The Egyptian diplomat also reaffirmed his country’s support for Saudi Arabia ahead of an upcoming meeting of foreign ministers at the Arab League that is due to discuss the Iran-Saudi spat.
ISRAEL – Israel considers Iran to be its greatest regional threat because of its nuclear program, its arsenal of long-range missiles, its support of anti-Israel militant groups and its repeated threats to destroy it. While Israel has no direct ties to Saudi Arabia either, the countries have come closer because of a shared concern over Iran’s growing influence.
Several Saudi allies have rallied the kingdom’s side, with a number of nations following its lead in either cutting or reducing diplomatic ties with Iran. While backing Saudi Arabia, it may have chosen to reduce – rather than completely sever ties – because of a long trading history with Iran.
It stressed the importance of doing everything to lower those tensions and “avoid provocations”.
The comments appeared to be the first such criticism of the embassy attack by a member of the hardline Guards, who issued a harsh statement against Saudi Arabia about the execution of al-Nimr on Saturday.
