Di Matteo out to clip Owls’ wings on Villa debut

Arguably the blockbuster game of the opening EFL weekend is being played at Hillsborough on Sunday, when play-off bridesmaids Sheffield Wednesday play host to relegated Aston Villa.

Di Matteo admitted that his side faced a tough start against last season’s beaten playoff finalists, but is hopeful that they will have what it takes to overcome the Owls.
