Did Aaron Rodgers jab at Russell Wilson’s faith in God?

This time, the Green Bay Packers punched back in the second half against the Seattle Seahawks.

Rodgers and the defense came up big in the fourth quarter of a 27-17 win in a bruising, physical rematch of last season’s NFC title game. Back then, the three-time National Football League champion Dallas Cowboys were a major roadblock for the upwardly mobile Packers. “Disappointing game because we felt like we were going to have a chance to go down the field and win there”. The Packers, conversely, avenge a NFC Championship defeat during which they squandered a 16-0 halftime lead.

However, Matthews gave the Packers the kind of performance they needed after inside linebacker Sam Barrington was lost for the season to a foot injury in the opener.

Still bristling about losing again to the Seahawks, Rodgers made a few pointed remarks about Russell Wilson and his faith. We’re 2-0. It feels good.

Getting Graham the football more often should be a priority for the Seahawks going into their home game against Chicago in Week 3.

Seattle should have used Graham much more last night against the Packers.

“It is what it is”.

“We’re just a veteran group”, veteran cornerback Richard Sherman said.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 25 of 33 passes for 249 yards with two touchdowns. A 2-point conversion pass to Rodgers made it 24-17. He threw another short pass to receiver Ty Montgomery, who picked up 15 yards after the catch for a gain of 17.

It wasn’t just mistakes on offense, as Seattle’s defense was guilty of sloppy play, with Bennett himself flagged for a trio of offsides penalties, leaving him to acknowledge: “I just (expletive) up”. But Chancellor is holding out for a new contract.

It was one of those weird bang-bang sequences you see so often in an National Football League game. They fell in the Super Bowl a year ago.

I don’t know what the heck happened”, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said.

Wilson has not yet commented on what Rodgers had to say, but he will certainly be asked about it when the Seahawks speak to the media in Week 3.

The Packers scored the clincher on kicker Mason Crosby’s 21-yard field goal on the first play after the two-minute warning. Running back Eddie Lacy suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter after carrying three times for 9 yards and did not return.
