According to Bollywood trade analyst Ramesh Bala, “Kabali” has earned grossed Rs. 205 crore in India and Rs. 104 crore in overseas to take its 10-day total to Rs. 309 crore. “And Aditya had no choice except to agree with Salman that time”. The film has reached its fifth week at the box office and is now nearing to a closure after this weekend. The online ticket bookings was opened 1 week earlier on the various websites on the internet and there is a craze among the audience for the film and they really love the film. The trailer of Sultan had made a great impact on the minds of the viewers and made them so excited to watch Sultan in the theaters.
With the film set to gross Rs 300 crore in the domestic market, it seems like things are not going in favour of Salman Khan.
“The combination of Salman Khan and Eid always works wonders but it is the content that speaks after the initial opening”, said Rajendar Singh, vice-president, programming and distribution, INOX Leisure Ltd. “And in this case, it did hold up well”.
The film was adored by the masses for its entertaining concept. Salman is playing a character as a wrestler who belongs to a small village of Haryana and had faced more of the problems to become a world champion in wrestling. Even if we were to add the pre-release amount of Rs 200 crore, it would total up to Rs 500 crores.
