Did Trump give an assassination threat to Hillary?
Mrs Clinton’s campaign said they understood Mr Trump’s comment as one which would encourage violence against their candidate.

But if Trump knew precisely what his words suggested, than he is something else. “Nobody who is seeking a leadership position, especially the presidency, the leadership of the country, should do anything to countenance violence, and that’s what he was saying”.
“Hillary wants to abolish, essentially abolish the Second Amendment”. “If she gets to pick her judges”, the GOP nominee said at a rally in North Carolina, “nothing you can do, folks”.
“When he suggested that “The Second Amendment People” can stop Hillary Clinton he crossed a line with unsafe potential”, the former “CBS Evening News” anchor wrote Tuesday.
He said the Republican nominee was talking about the lobbying and voting power of “Second Amendment people”.
“If Hillary Clinton gets elected, I think she’s going to decimate the Second Amendment, if not abolish it”.
Upon accepting the support a convention in May, Trump promised the group: “I will not let you down”.
The US Secret Service was also drawn into the controversy, saying it was “aware of the comments”.
Other Democrats piled on, with one Democratic senator equating Trump’s remarks with “assassination threat” against Clinton.
Was Trump suggesting gun owners take matters into their own hands?
But second amendment supporters at Blackstone Shooting Sports in Charlotte said they interpreted his remarks much differently.
Trump went on to tout his endorsement from the National Rifle Association and pledged to appoint Supreme Court justices who were supportive of gun rights.
Andrea Hackett of Detroit says gun violence is a serious issue and called Trump’s comment violent.
The ad then shows the back of the woman watching a clip from Clinton on the plane where she says, “I fully appreciate how hard life is for so many Americans today”. “She’d leave you defenseless”. And Mr Trump’s running mate, IN governor Mike Pence, said his boss was talking about the election choice for pro-gun voters, not encouraging violence.

He added that this latest bout of negative media attention only means that “most of the press is in the tank for Hillary Clinton”.
