Did Trump suggest that “Second Amendment People” shoot Hillary Clinton?

The reaction from Democrats was immediate.

Shortly after Trump made the Second Amendment comment, former CIA Director Michael Hayden slammed the billionaire businessman in an interview on CNN, saying if anyone else delivered such remarks, they would be in a “police wagon”. “A person seeking to be the President of the United States should not suggest violence in any way”. “I mean, the guy is – to use common language, the guy is a nut cake”. “Now I see. Donald Trump isn’t the upstanding, buccaneering individual I thought he was”.

Yet Trump’s foes were unconvinced and unforgiving.

Asked for comment, the US Secret Service, which provides security details for both Trump and Clinton, said: “The Secret Service is aware of the comment”.

Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson’s votes may also catch up with Clinton or Trump.

Encouraging violence against the Democratic nominee is not new for some supporters and surrogates of the Trump campaign. Elizabeth Warren was quick to wade into the fight.

Humphrey said he emailed New Hampshire’s members of the Republican National Committee, urging them to demand an emergency meeting to strip Trump of the nomination.

Mr. Trump’s remark came a day after his campaign expressed satisfaction with his delivery of a prepared economic speech in Detroit and called it evidence of a new level of discipline. It also reinforced the concern, voiced by many anxious Republicans, that he can not stay disciplined and avoid inflammatory remarks that imperil not only his White House prospects but the re-election chances of many GOP lawmakers.

“You should never joke about something like that”. Whatever – that’s not how the shocked man behind Trump on stage at the rally seemed to take it.

Lemire reported from NY. A day earlier, Maine Sen.

“If Trump were not a major-party presidential nominee, his comment yesterday might have earned him a stern visit from the Secret Service”.

According to Politico, even supporters of the right to bear arms were wary of Trump’s remarks.

She has not, but she has called for tougher gun regulations – including expanded background checks and allowing families of victims of gun violence to sue gun manufacturers or dealers.

“I’m not here to repeal the Second Amendment”, she said in her Democratic National Convention speech.

HollywoodLifers, are you shocked the NRA dismissed Donald’s apparent call to gun violence against Hillary?

Clinton has stressed she wants to impose stricter limits on gun sales so that weapons do not fall into the hands of people who should not have them, like criminals, the mentally unstable, or those on government terror watch lists.
