Did You Miss Bernie Sanders’ New Hampshire Victory Speech? See It Here

Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Bernie Sanders have coasted to victory on a wave of voter anger in the New Hampshire presidential nominating contest, thrashing traditional USA politicians in a display of anti-establishment power.

Fresh off his strong second-place finish in New Hampshire, Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Wednesday said he has no plans to win in SC, though he expects to do well there.

While the Democratic race has grown increasingly fractious, most Democrats in New Hampshire are ready to rally behind either of their candidates as the party’s nominee.

Donald Trump returned to NY on Wednesday after his sweeping victory in the New Hampshire primary.

“I’m not some kind of a pin cushion or a marshmallow”, he said.

We might have a general election with one candidate pushing for socialism, packed with a 90 percent top tax rate, while the other looks to build a border wall while shoving the invoice down Mexico’s throat.

Katherine Wilbur, 20, a geography major at the University of South Carolina from Hopkins, South Carolina, said she had yet to decide on a candidate or party. Sanders won his primary by over 20 percent, but many thought he needed a hefty win. Can Clinton, as has always been believed, carry these voters by large enough margins to overcome Sanders’ advantage with young people?

“My concern is that in January of next year, for the first time in American history, a black family will be moving out of the White House”, Sharpton said. In a statement, she took an apparent swipe at those who say that young women should support Clinton because of her gender and also at Trump, with whom she clashed in debates. “But they’re also hungry, they’re hungry for solutions”. Sanders, still considered an independent in the eyes of the Senate, is explicitly running against the Democratic Party as he raises huge sums of money from huge numbers of people.

“They’ve thrown everything but the kitchen sink at me”, Sanders told his supporters, “and I have the feeling that kitchen sink is coming pretty soon as well”.

Seven days later it’s the Democrats’ turn.

Sanders, a secular Jew and self-described democratic socialist who has made economic inequality in America the centerpiece of his campaign, had been the favorite to win in New Hampshire, and in last week’s Iowa caucuses he almost tied Clinton.

It was a must win for Trump, after his embarrassing performance in Iowa called into question his showmanship strategy and his brand as a victor.

But similar levels of support for Kasich, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Marco Rubio and former Florida governor Jeb Bush left the field in turmoil.

And Clinton’s campaign deployed SC state Rep. Todd Rutherford to vouch for her support for minorities.

Even before the candidates arrived, the state’s airwaves were being flooded with negative attack ads, with each man hoping to emerge as the mainstream answer to Trump. Not everybody maybe, but my early reports are people who sat around and said ‘You know, I like Kasich, he’s smart, he’s experienced, he’d be a great president, but he’s at 1% in the polls.

“I don’t need to start these fights, but if someone starts one in the future, we are going to point out the differences in our records in a sharper way”, Rubio said.

Speaking to reporters in Washington, Cruz eyed a potential boost from Christie and Fiorina backers.
