There’s good news and bad news for Game of Thrones fans: Jon Snow will be returning, but only as a corpse. I’m definitely not in the new series”, Kit Harington, who plays Jon, told Time Out London last week.

The trailer provides undeniable proof that Jon Snow is dead and a recent interview with Kit Harrington only confirms that fact.

The trailer shows characters like Daenerys Targaryen and Arya Stark battling to survive, as their homeland of Westeros breaks out into fiery and icy chaos. It looks like the cold war between the royal family and the religious faction of King’s Landing will turn into an all out war.

Sophie Turner as Sansa Stark in a scene from season six of Game of Thrones. The new trailer for the upcoming and anticipated season 6 doesn’t buck that trend.

This all means there’s plenty of fodder for the episodes to come and with word that we could be heading towards a proper finale in a year or two things are bound to get epic rather quickly. “I filmed some scenes of me being dead- it’s some of my best work”. Could someone take his body and we won’t see it again until possibly Season 7, or is Jon Snow simply dead like so many other members of his family, father Ned Stark, step-mother Catelyn Stark, and brother Rob Stark? Game Of Thrones is also available on Astro On The Go. Jon Snow’s parentage remains a huge mystery, and the red priestess Melisandre has expressed keen interest in his future.
