Diddy Denies Assault Charges: Read His Statement
Jail records show Diddy – whose real name is Sean Combs – was released on bail on Monday evening. “No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating”. UCLA wasn’t going to press charges against the elder Combs, but the decision was taken out of their hands when campus security viewed video surveillance of the incident.

In an ESPN report, Diddy reportedly paid $160,000 according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website so he could get out of jail after being arrested.
UCLA football coach Jim Mora initially reacted to Diddy‘s arrest with his own statement on Monday, saying: “I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation”.
“This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved”, Mora said. He was later charged with one count of making terrorists threats, one count of battery, and three counts of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly trying to hit Alosi with a kettlebell. He was released after posting bail and given a July 13 court date. The rapper’s son, Justin Combs, plays as a defensive back for the UCLA American Football team. “What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were exclusively defensive in nature to protect himself and his son”. According to the source, Diddy and his son “drove to the university together, with no entourage to talk to the coach as a parent”. The reason for the discrepancy wasn’t clear, according to The AP.
The arrest, first reported by TMZ, is the latest of several allegations of violence by Combs.
In 1999 the hip-hopster was acquitted of bribery and weapons-related charges connected to a shooting in a New York nightclub. Justin accepted a full merit-based athletic scholarship in 2012 to play football at UCLA.
Earlier this year, an Arizona man accused Combs of punching him in the face at a Super Bowl party. Combs was not arrested.
