Diego Costa: Chelsea’s Players Must Take Blame
The term “self-blame” rarely applies to Chelsea striker Diego Costa, but in the wake of the many struggles the team have endured this season, he is accepting a rare portion of blame for the team’s position on the table. “Some people seem to think football is like theatre, and that everyone has to play the good guy”, he said.

For example, my behaviour in the game against Arsenal [where he earned his ban for slapping Laurent Koscielny] was not the best, I know that.
The reigning Premier League champions have now lost five matches in the Premier League after suffering a 2-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
“I don’t really know what happens here (in England) but it looks like we are alone on this because Chelsea, it’s a club that the supporters give 100 per cent support, but outsiders don’t like Chelsea”. When I’m off the pitch, I’m a normal guy.
Costa insists he has no reason to alter his controversial style and that he did nothing wrong despite being hit with the second retrospective ban of his Blues career for clashing with Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny.
On his return to the Premier Leagu, Costa showed no signs of limiting his physicality as he scored one and forced an own goal for another in his first game back, a victory against Aston Villa. I am just hoping that they see me differently now.
Furthermore, he also explained how he gets treated by the opposition players on the pitch and he has never complained. I’m not going to change because of other people’s opinions.
“I think this is part of the game, this is football”.
Speaking in The Sun, Costa said: ‘Many times players have done stuff to me, like kick me. He added that he was not going to change the way he plays because of what people might think of it. In his interview with Mirror, the forward said that while he was not actually bothered, he would not change unless his manager Jose Mourinho or his co-players or his supporters told him so.

However, Costa says rumours of discontent in the Chelsea dressing room are way off the mark.
