Chelsea fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they hear the latest coming from Sky Sports, who seem to think that the Blues now think there is a campaign against Diego Costa.
The forward is renowned for antagonising opposition players and many feel his temperament is starting to get the better of him and hampering Chelsea’s chances of progress. “We have maybe lost a few confidence in three or four games”, Costa said on Wednesday. “Between Chelsea and Arsenal?”
Later Tuesday, Costa was given a three-match ban for violent conduct toward Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, which was missed by referee Dean during the game.
Gabriel’s reaction to the incident earned him a yellow card, whilst Costa was also booked before the Brazilian was giving his marching orders after a flick-out at the Spaniard moments later.
“It is not a good message for children”. Nevertheless, Costa has not received a straight red card since 2012 but has been suspended for a total of 15 matches.
So, this Arsenal-Chelsea rivalry continues to heat up, doesn’t it? “It was dirty”, Pele added.

With Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger still embroiled in a bitter feud publicly, players from both clubs exchanging blows, multiple players being sent off during games and now Pele getting involved, perhaps this London rivalry is set to dominate the Premier League in years to come.
