The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe.
The Manchester Evening News has claimed that Manchester United are confident of sealing a reunion with French superstar Paul Pogba before the Community Shield showdown with Leicester City next week.
‘In this moment we are still working [on a move for Pogba], and I can not say anything more. Until August 31 anything can happen, but today he is not a Real Madrid player and I cannot talk about what will happen.
Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, however, seemed to suggest on Wednesday that his club could yet be in the market for his fellow countryman.
Real did make contact with Juventus this week over Pogba, but sources told ESPN FC that Perez was not going to pay as much as United for the midfielder.
AS notes however that Madrid’s interest in Pogba is at the urging of Zidane, who also noted when asked about Pogba that ‘Madrid always want the best’. “The midfielder was the best player that I ever played with – by a distance”, Forlan said in his column for The National.
Manchester United’s world record transfer of Juventus star Paul Pogba appears to be back on track following a breakthrough regarding the fees owed to super agent Mino Raiola. Everyone is interested in Pogba.
It would cap a busy summer for Mourinho after moves for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
