Diego Simeone: Griezmann knows he’s at wonderful club

Antoine Griezmann has been a main feature of each of the last several transfer windows, and despite repeatedly signing new contracts and declaring allegiance to Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone, that’s set to continue next summer.

It’s still very early to make any calls for next year’s summer transfer window, as the new campaign literally just kicked off few weeks ago, but according to reports the Blues are ready to do their everything to sign the France worldwide after the season.

Thank the lord for Antoine Griezmann; he is keeping this gossip column a little bit busy in desperate times.

Griezmann is not an unfamiliar name for any Chelsea fan at least, as the club have been following his actions for the past two years, hoping to lure the world-class striker to their ranks with several rebuffed bids.

Chelsea is reportedly also willing to grant their striker Diego Costa his wish to return to Atletico – rather than trigger Griezmann’s 84 million pounds ($112 million) release clause – in order to sweeten the deal.

News of Chelsea and United’s interest comes just days after Griezmann cast doubt on his long-term future at the Vicente Calderon after suggesting he might look for a move when boss Diego Simeone leaves the club amid reports this could be the Argentinean coaches final season in Spain.

The Telegraph goes onto state that Chelsea are prepared to use Diego Costa as part of the offer to bring the France global to Stamford Bridge.
