An already exciting event for fans, a select group of Australians were treated to ten minutes of the upcoming sequel at the IMAX Theatre at Sydney’s Darling Harbour. In fact, fans saw the exclusive footage at an IMAX theater where Ford slipped into the screening incognito, according to the Australian publication BMag. With an entire generation of fans having grown to love Ford as Solo, it will undoubtedly be hard for many of them to see any other actor present their own version of the character. First he surprised some Star Wars superfans on Omaze, and seemed genuinely happy to do it (yes, that really is Han Solo smiling).
“Let’s make a deal – don’t tell your friends what you’ve seen here today”, Ford told the audience.
The force is strong with Ford and apparently the film delivers a powerful force, too. Abrams revealed that he was shooting one scene for the film with IMAX cameras earlier previous year, which had us pretty excited at the prospect of seeing a new Star Wars movie on the big-big screen, though it’s not proving to be as easy as we’d hoped.
