Dilwale 10th Day Collection Report: Low Second Weekend Box Office Figures
“Shah Rukh is a bigger star”. The Red Chillies team must have thought that Eros will back out and they may get a solo release but Eros had a lot of belief in their film even though it wasn’t supported by as big a star cast as Dilwale.

Before the release of “Bajirao Mastani” the producers were fighting a battle for getting more screen space and the matter even reached court.
Ranveer Singh’s “Bajirao Mastani” is a period film that was expected to cater to only a selected audience while Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dilwale” is a family entertainer that had all the ingredients that could make it a box-office hit. In Pakistan, Dilwale is reported to have generated around Rs 5 crore as the opening day collection breaking all previous first day collection records. ‘Bajirao Mastani’ collected Rs. 5.25 crores net approx (Rs. 52.5 million) on its second Monday at the box office.
The movie collected Rs 8 crores today making the complete total Rs 128.45 crores.
The Black director is happy that word of mouth has helped Bajirao Mastani gain momentum at the box office, whose box office score after running at the theatres for a week is Rs 98 crores.
“It is heartening to know that people are loving our film so all that numbers and mathematics eventually collapse when you like a film or you don’t like a film”.
“The repeat value is important”.
Bajirao Mastani is the much-awaited movie which is released all over the world on December 18th, 2015.
Bajirao Mastani is the love story of Peshwa Bajirao and the half-Muslim princess Mastani, which also features Bajirao’s first wife Kashibai as a significant character, while the Rohit Shetty film is an action comedy. The trio took on Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s latest film Dilwale when their film hit the screens on the same day – December 18 – and have emerged the clear victor among the two. Bhansali produced Bajirao Mastani on Bhansali Productions along with Eros International.
