Dilwale Scores Box Office Century, Bajirao Mastani Will ‘Overtake Soon’
Dilwale had slightly better opening weekend in comparision to Bajirao Mastani. Though Dilwale has released with high expectation because of Shahrukh and Kajol chemistry after five years of My name is Khan film and also Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Johnny Lever and others in key roles, it didn’t work to drag the audience to the theatres.

Global Hollywood phenomenon, the next franchise of the Star Wars series – Star Wars: The Force Awakens – has grossed $1 billion or Rs 6,614 crore in 12-days of its worldwide release.
When two of the biggest films – Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani were set to release on the same day, many advised the respective filmmakers to not clash as that would result in the business getting divided. “When they message me, I can’t ask for more”, added the National Award victor who is now enjoying the success of his film “Bajirao Mastani”.
Dilwale movie opened with good collections in the first week and dipped in the second week at the box office. The story is about Bajirao and Mastani, but history forgot to mention about Kashi and all credit goes to Sanjay sir to bring her on screen so beautifully. In UK too, Dilwale clocked the highest opening for a Bollywood film in 2015. Dilwale failed to take advantage of the big Christmas holiday and collected only 8.11 crores on its second Friday.
Reportedly “Dilwale” had collected Rs 21 cr on the first day, Rs 20.09 cr on the second day, Rs 24 cr on the third day and Rs 10.09 cr on Monday.
While the Rohit Shetty film is an action comedy.
With this, the film has established it loud and clear that it is here to stay, as the trending over weekdays has been fantastic with over 9 crore coming in on every day.

Even SRK and Kajol’s romance weren’t able to save Dilwale at the Box Office.
