After a positive opening day that saw 12.8 crore coming in, Bajirao Mastani showed a good jump on Saturday.
This was a trend noticed across the country.
Dilwale, which stars Kajol, Kirti Sanon and Varun Dhawan, is looking to record an opening weekend close to Rs 70 crore.
“Dilwale” amassed Rs. 21 crore, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh while the net box office collection in India for “Bajirao Mastani” is Rs.12.80 crore. This movie will be clashed with Rohit Shetty’s movie Dilwale. “If one has problem with Shah Rukh, don’t see the film but don’t STOP OTHERS”. On average, we are running 14 shows, per day, per property. Both “Diwale” and “Bajirao Mastani” opened amidst protests.
On the second day, the film has observed an occupancy of greater than its opening day, and over and all 60% occupancy have been observed in most of the cinema halls. “I was missing him and wished all of them luck”. The film was also blamed for misleading the history in many places.

“Advance bookings of both the movies are fabulous. But, it looks like the people of Bihar are not able to connect with this movie, as it deals with Maharashtra”, said Manoj Pramanik, unit head of Cinepolis, Patna. Featuring Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, the film has, however, taken a slow start although exhibitors say it might pick up due to word-of-mouth.

Bhansali also said, “Bajirao Mastani has been a story I have been yearning to tell and I am glad that cinegoers in the south regions will get to watch the film in their own language”. This movie has lots of controversies before release but this movie has overcome all the problems. Experts said the first day collections of Dilwale may stand at around Rs 24-26 crore while that of Bajirao may be half of that.
