Dinamo Zagreb’s Arijan Ademi fails drug test after win over Arsenal
“We have been informed about the results of the drug test and that our player Arijan Ademi tested positive”, the Croatian title holders said on their website.

However, Uefa have confirmed to Goal that the club will not lose the three points earned from the victory, revealing that they would only have been sanctioned had more than one player tested positive.
“We are aware of the results of the doping control test after the match of the Champions League first round against Arsenal and that our player, Arijan Ademi, was positive, and that Uefa opened proceedings against him”.
“Players have also been tested several times this season by Uefa and the Croatian Anti-Doping Agency and everyone was always negative”.
UEFA are now continuing their investigation into the matter with Dinamo awaiting results of a “B” sample.
Ademi, 24, has appeared in both of Dinamo’s group-stage games during Champions League play, earning a decent 6.40 average match rating from WhoScored.com for his efforts.

For Bayern, Ademi’s suspension will likely just alleviate a few of the pressure when the Bavarians venture to Zagreb for the return leg at the beginning of December.
