Dion Lewis to Begin Season on PUP List
New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis, still on the PUP list, was not spotted at a single training camp practice.

The 5-foot-9, 204-pounder, who stepped in down the stretch and into the playoffs a year ago following Lewis’ initial knee injury, said before practice on Monday that he anticipates leaning on his on-field work last season as a guidepost for this season.
Sunday morning brought several injury reports that could slow the team’s high-powered offense.
There are also health concerns on the offensive line.
For starters, the team will be without quarterback Tom Brady for the first four games of the regular season.
That’s why, while both Blount and White moved up my rankings following the Lewis news, the name that might warrant the closest attention these next two weeks is Tyler Gaffney, who in two preseason games has 20 carries for 95 and one touchdown.
LeGarrette Blount’s roster status was questionable when the New England Patriots began training camp. What makes the timing of the surgery so befuddling is that Lewis participated fully in New England’s final spring practices in late June without the presence of a brace on his left knee. Things won’t get any easier for Jimmy Garoppolo, either, as the run game will most likely suffer during his four-game starting period.
“I mean, words can’t describe it”, Witten said about the site about 30 miles north of Dallas. And he scored a whopping (and league-leading) 40 of his 110 fantasy points with the Patriots up by at least two touchdowns on the scoreboard in 2015, giving him more of a look of “finisher” than workhorse. “But I think we’ve got him in a good spot now”.
