Dirk Kuyt says Feyenoord must now focus on PSV Eindhoven and not the memories of Thursday’s win over Manchester United.

And, although Kuyt didn’t score against United this time, he certainly has done in the past – most notably when he scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over them in March 2011.
Squawka report that Kuyt admitted that the pair had spoken following the conclusion of the Europa League game at the De Kuip Stadium, with Pogba complimentary about the Dutchman’s impressive career.
“I think if anything, that’s a good thing”, the centre-back said of the quick turnaround between matches.
“Feyenoord are doing very well, and I have already indicated at the beginning of the season that I expect them to compete with us and Ajax for the title”, he said, quoted on the club’s official website.
Feyenoord supporters gave the United team a send-off they will remember after the loud rendition compiled misery on the losing side.
Paul Pogba has endured a hard return to life at Manchester United and things could be about to get a whole lot trickier – after former Liverpool man Dirk Kuyt revealed he was praised by the world’s most expensive player, as Jose Mourinho’s suffered defeat at the hands of Feyenoord on Thursday. We have two days to recover and prepare for the important match on Sunday.
“We [need to] make sure that we stand up and be counted on Sunday because we’ve got a big result to get”. I must give a huge compliment to the team for the fight that we had up to the last minute.
“I think [the confidence] does take a little knock, but I think we can’t forget some of the chances we created”.
“I think on Sunday character needs to shine through because it’s unacceptable to lose three games in a row”.

“In the second half, I think our urgency was there but we need to start that in the first half”.
