It’s “not what you’ve seen before with a big dumb giants walking around”, Disney explained, but instead the world is inhabited with various cultures of giants, including the film’s antagonistic element, the Storm Giants.

“We are so honored and thrilled to continue the tradition [of bringing fairy tales to film] with Jack and the Beanstalk“, Greno said.

Disney is already in production on the feature, which has assembled a top-notch team: Nathan Greno (Tangled) is directing, Dorothy McKim (Get a Horse!) is directing, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Frozen) are providing music. She is the first giant he meets, but don’t worry she won’t be the last.

Greno shared that one of the main giants – the co-lead of the film along with Jack – is based on a young girl that the creative team met on a research trip to Spain. It has deep, deep, emotion.

“GIGANTIC” TAKES ROOT – Things are looking up at Walt Disney Animation Studios – way up. Indeed, enormous focuses on the adventure of an 11-year-old giant girl named Inma and a tiny lad known as Jack, as they go on a quest in the land of giants in the sky.

Jack hatches a grand plan with Inma, a 60-foot-tall, 11-year-old girl, and agrees to help her find her way home.

Not much more is known at the moment, but big will likely be just that when it arrives in theaters in 2018. But he doesn’t account for her super-sized personality. This is a world of giants.
