The animated series, which premiered on Disney Channel and Disney Junior in July, is a story inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore.
Beginning August 12, the royal welcome for Elena of Avalor will be presented several times daily at the park.
In the special welcoming ceremony on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage, Cinderella and Prince Charming will host their newest royal friend and invite her to share her unbelievable story with park guests.
While Elena’s music makes the new show shimmer and sparkle, so does the new princess’ vibrant royal gown and glittering crown. Elena’s journey will lead her to understand that her new role requires thoughtfulness, resilience and compassion, the traits of all truly great leaders.
Disney is looking to cash in on the Elena character with print and e-books from Disney Publishing, dolls, role-play products, accessories, home décor and apparel from the Disney Store and licensees including Hasbro, Jakks Pacific, Franco Manufacturing and Children’s Apparel Network.
Elena is Disney’s first Latina princess, and she’s already a big hit with viewers. Her magical adventure in Avalor continue on the Disney Channel on Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. ET and weekend mornings at 11:00 a.m. on Disney Junior.
