Disney cruise ship rescues 12 suspected migrants from ‘rustic’ vessel
A DISNEY luxury cruise ship has plucked a group of refugees from a dangerously rickety boat foundering off the coast of the Cayman Islands.

U.S. Coast Guard 7th District spokesman Jon-Paul Rios stated that when the suspected immigrants were spotted by the crew of the Disney Wonder, they were in a vessel that was described as “rustic”.
The group was taken aboard the cruise ship, where they were transported to authorities on the Cayman Islands, Rios said.
CNN reports that the cuban migrants were brought on board the Disney cruise ship, which has 11 decks of restaurants, pools, and recreation. Rios said it’s unclear whether the migrants had been heading to the United States.
The Disney Cruise Line ships probably aren’t the greatest bunch of ships for detaining cuban migrants. Experts believe Cubans might be trying to reach the United States because they fear warming relations between the two countries will soon make the United States resistant to accepting Cubans as refugees.
The incident is not the first time the Disney cruise ship helped people in the sea. From there, they cut through Latin America until they got to the United States.
Earlier this month, officials in the Cayman Islands said more than 120 Cuban migrants had landed there since January. The boat in question was south-east of Cuba when the Cubans were picked by by the Wonder.

In 2013, the same Disney cruise ship picked up a group of eight migrants stranded on a raft about 45 miles from Key West.
