Disney limits fishing after alligator attack on toddler
In the wake of this month’s fatal alligator attack at one of its Florida resorts, Disney is distancing itself from most of the gator-related attractions found inside their theme parks.

“We did this two weeks ago immediately following the incident”, she said via email.
These measures are enforced after an alligator allegedly struck a two-year-old boy and dragged him into the Seven Seas Lagoon at Walt Disney World.
Jokes about child abduction by alligators and the Tic Toc Croc from Peter Pan are among a number of references removed by Disney World following the recent death of a child at the park.
Fishing is now essentially prohibited on Disney property unless it’s part of a guided excursion.
Days after the deadly alligator attack, cast members aboard the Disney Jungle Cruise reportedly axed a joke referencing crocodiles and children from their scripts.
Less-than-subtle changes include new signs and fences along resort beaches warning of alligators and snakes and advising against feeding the wildlife.

Representatives at Disney World refused to divulge any information as to when the alligator and crocodile references will be brought back to the resort’s shows and attractions. His body was recovered a day later. Previously the posted signs merely said no swimming. Feel free to sound off in the comments section below.
