Maui’s strengths, as evidenced by the trailer, sees him being able to lift islands out of the sea and having animated tattoos.
The teaser trailer for Disney’s next animated film, Moana, has been released!
It was announced earlier this week, alongside a lovely new poster, that the trailer would be released today. Check out the teaser trailer below! The film features the voice talents of newcomer Auli’i Cravalho as Moana and Dwayne Johnson has her demigod companion, Maui. This will be one of those traditional Disney musicals, and Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is writing some original music with Opetaia Foa’i and Mark Mancina for the soundtrack. Directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid”, “Aladdin”, “The Princess & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted”, “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into USA theaters on November 23, 2016. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one today knows why. It is due to hit the U.S. on 23 November, and on Australian cinemas on 26 December 2016.
