Apparently a man wearing a wig of shoulder-length hair along with a bandana and sunglasses entered a bank in Sechelt last Thursday and demanded money before escaping on foot. Cramer also faces charges of failing to stop for a peace officer and unsafe operation of a motor vehicle, the paper reported. In spite of the various attempts to hide his identity during the incident, Cramer was quickly identified by officials, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

‘Fortunately no one was injured, and bank robberies are an extremely rare occurrence here on the Sunshine Coast’.

The day after the alleged robbery, an officer who had recently dealt with Cramer on an unrelated matter recognized him.

Cramer had bit parts in the films Runaway and Clan of the Cave Bear alongside Daryl Hannah before landing the lead role in the 1986 Disney film Flight of the Navigator. “We’re fortunate that the officers were able to get the suspect into custody quickly”.

It’s not known whether a weapon was used in the robbery.

His biggest film was the box office hit Flight of the Navigator, in which Cramer played the lead character David Freeman.

He is next due in court on 10 May at North Vancouver Provincial Court.
