Disney to post alligator warning signs after boy’s death
The beach, located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa across a lake from the Magic Kingdom, had “no swimming” signs but no warnings about alligators.

In an article, CNN reported that the cadaver was found intact about 1:45 p.m. the next day, not far from where the boy was grabbed on Tuesday night.
“We have closed all of our beaches and have made a decision to add signage, and we are also conducting a swift and thorough review of all of our processes and protocols“, Wahler said, in a statement cited by the Associated Press.
The alligator responsible for the child’s death might be among those euthanized, but authorities said they can’t be sure.
According to New York Times, the divers found the body of the toddler about six feet below the murky waters and only 15 feet from where he was last seen. An autopsy was planned.
He said they had to use sonar to find the body in the murky water.
“Matt’s family is the light of his life and his family’s anguish is our own”, the statement said, according to CNN affiliate KMTV.
“The St. Patrick’s Parish and school community is just flat out devastated”, Norman Hale, principal of St. Patrick’s Parish Catholic School, told Omaha station KMTV.
Officials said Disney World has never experienced an incident like the one involving the boy. “To come here with your family and (be) having this great time”.
We are installing signage and temporary barriers at our resort beach locations and are working on permanent, long-term solutions at our beaches, Disney spokeswoman Jacquee Wahler said in a statement.
An alligator described as being as long as 7 feet snatched the little boy as he waded in shallow water Tuesday night. Neither could a nearby lifeguard, officials said. Nick Wiley, head of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, said it was too early to say whether one of those five might be the culprit.
Members of St. Patrick Parish in Elkhorn prayed June 16 for Lane Graves, a 2-year-old boy killed in an alligator attack in Florida, his father and mother, Matthew and Melissa, and sister, 4-year-old Ella, during a regularly scheduled morning Mass and special rosary.
Disney shares gained 11 cents to close at $98.38 on Thursday.
As shocked tourists looked on, she said, trappers caught the animal and carried it away, writhing, across a pool and courtyard area outside the hotel.

It’s an unwritten rule for Florida residents: Keep your kids away from ponds and lakes because alligators are everywhere.
